Alright I PM'd JB about this but he asked if I would create a topic on it.
I'm trying to get ideas set up now so that when it does happen we can be ready or if it is ready we can use it as a recruiting tool.
I was thinking it would be nice to have a site like game battles but on a smaller scale for right now. Set up brackets and have each team face off in a given time period. Who ever wins it then gets added to their score and if it doesn't happen then they forfeit. Eventually getting a champion.
What I would like to use this for right now would be for the gladiators tournament. The way it is set up is 6 teams of 12 people and you use 6 for a game and have 6 alternates (this can be changed to add more but not less.) You run through all of the game modes in a private event. So you do both core and HC of TDM, CTF, sabotage, HQ, DOM, and War. You do a round robin setup at first to get seeding and then go into a tournament bracket, double elimination.
For team selection I would like there to be a random team selector that chooses from a list of names and assigns it to a team. I feel this is the most fair way to do it otherwise members will drop out and you will lose interest in the tournament.
Please give me your feedback on this.

I am in, I do not have to be captain, but playing in a new league is certainly right up my alley!
This is going to be for MW2 right? Even if it isn't, I'm in anyway...
Supporting Le'Jax FTW!!!

Good deal. I think random teams is best, it takes out the possibility of an 'all star' team that will just wreck on everyone.
What game would this be for though? MW or WaW?

I say we could use it on any of them. I'm sure that MW2 would bring us the most members but having the variety of it doesn't hurt either.

I was thinking MW2 would be best, I just wasn't sure when you wanted to get this off the ground.

I'm in...random teams tho pffft. I go dibs on eli, Nite and TD...lol just kidding, seriously though this is a good idea and the random teams will allow us to interact with members we might not be as acquainted with and spread tips and pointers amongst our community. great idea!

I'll get busy and start coding something for it.
Most likely, it will be located at http://dev.thelulz.com/gb/events
There's nothing there yet, but that's where I'll be testing it out and developing it.
Phlap, thanks for posting this.
