I recently purchased a PS3 and a copy of CoD to tide me over until my 360 comes back from repairs.  My capture card works with the PS3, but not with the 360 (valid input signal not detected, bastard).  But, I digress.  I've been putting a some videos up on YouTube, and have decided to add a little something to them.  If you don't want to watch the video, you can just skip to 1:53

I'd be grateful if you guys added it to your videos, just to help get the word out there.  Thoughts?

I can't wait for MW2 to come out so I can get back in to capping video. Lately I have just not been feeling it with WaW and Cod4 it seems like I do great until I plug the cap card in. I start getting wreckless trying to do things that would look good on video. I figure I'll just cap hours of footage when MW2 comes out so I'm not as worried about what I'm doing in game.

and yes, I will be adding this to my videos from now on, good idea.

what kind of card do you have? What kind of cords do you use? analog, s-video, or component?

I'm using the Dazzle DVC100 with a composite connection.  Everything's dandy with the PS3, it just refuses to acknowledge the presence of my 360.  My 360 is a black elite, and the Dazzle is also black, so I don't think it's a racial problem. 

I've heard that trying different USB ports can sometimes help, so I guess I'll try that next.

I'm baffled. Have you tried looking around at different sites for solutions?
let me know how you had it set up, maybe we can figure out some trouble shooting trials.

If a dazzle comes with pinnacle on ebay will the pinnacle work when i try to install it on to my computer?

I would imagine that as long as your comp has the minimum requirements then you should be fine.

I think to do that you have to post it to the gallery and it has to be within a certain size.  After you post it...it will be reviewed and aproved.

It sort of already is posted to the gallery.  All I did was use TD's desktop wallpaper (the second one) and add a title over and let it run for a bit.

                                _ Splitter - Yellow video cable (from Xbox & composite cables) - TV
Laptop ---(USB)--- Dazzle - Red audio cable - ----------------------------------------------------------- TV
                                -- Splitter - White audio cable (from Xbox & composite cables) - TV

I know it has nothing to do with the lack of splitter for the red cables because this works perfectly with the PS3, and I actually have 3 splitters and I was using all of them when I tried the 360.

Depends on whether the product is used or not.  If new, it'll be fine.  If not, the license will probably have been registered.  It's not something I would worry about too much though...  ;]

Trust me, so am I.  MW2 is coming out, and so is Assassins Creed II AND Left 4 Dead 2.  Then there's Zombie Apocalypse and Geometry Wars already there, and Tekken 6 as will be arriving soon.  I want to cap these games and more, and it looks like the Dazzle is destined to dash my dreams.

Dunno.  I could try, but in all honesty I've tried pretty much configuration I can.  I plan to call those fuckers and see if THEY have any suggestions.

are you using your HDMI connection on the xbox when you are trying to cap?
