I wasn't planning on playing Multiplayer but dammit I couldn't resist.  I started off playing Merc TDM because initially the only game modes unlocked are TDM  or merc TDM.  I am going to start with  the negative things I saw...I saw no host migration what so ever and had 2 separate games end due to poor connection or the host leaving.  I don't know if they are waiting until launch day to resolve this but I sure hope so.  The level design in some of the maps I have played I actually really dislike.  Most of the maps I have played just have too many buildings you can go inside or on top of.  Its like IW loved the Chinatown map from COD4 so made every level a variation of it.  Be prepared to be shooting into windows of buildings all the time and tons of people camping on roofs.  Now on to positive things...I love the shear amount of challenges and things to unlock there are.  There is 27 pages (with about 25 per page) of different call signs you can get for your custom call sign and about 7 pages of emblems to add to it.  You unlock these by doing specific things within the game such as sprinting so far will get you a call sign graphic that say "Too Fast" and has a car burning out on it. Also there are challenges to be completed for each perk as well as the gun challenges now include challenges for using its different attachments.  You also get to choose what killstreak you unlock.  After reaching a certain rank you will get one unlock to apply towards your killstreaks.  You could immediately choose to unlock tactical nuke if you wanted to do so.  I unlocked "Pave Low" which was awesome.
The pacing and weapon handling/recoil all felt solid as did bullet damage.  It is harder to see people in this game from a distance than in COD4.  In COD4 I could see the outline of a sniper all the way across a map and shoot him.  Not so in this one.  Another brief semi complaint is the after action screen.  It simply doesnt have as much info as I would like.  It shows what new things you unlocked after the match but then simply just tells you your points earned in the match, kills, assists, and deaths.  I would have liked to see more variation in this. Like x-amount of heli kills or AC130 kills or number of UAVs or counter UAVS called in.  Thats all I am going to say for now but feel free to ask any questions you may have.

What's up with any type of Squad system?  Were you able to come into a match with another guy and have the BLUE guys and GREEN guys?

LOL, on the Host Migration thing.

Cool, make some friends tonight (that's not hard for you, everybody likes playing with DC) and check this out, running "Blue" was one of the better parts of WAW, you always knew where your team mates were.

Ok, next: In the beginning there was talk about different types of ammo rounds doing different things.  Characteristics like Deep Impact and Double Tap were supposed to be handled through the use of different types of bullets.  So have you seen anything that indicates this feature is in the game?

In addition, wasn't there some helmet thing that was supposed to be called "blast shield"?  It was supposed to provide protection against the stun / flash grenades, yet I haven't seen this feature anywhere.  Maybe an attachment to the Riot Shield?

You can unlock FMJ (full metal jackets) which act like deep impact and also double tap (cant remember what its called in MW2 by leveling up a gun you are using.  I unlocked double tap for my UMP 45 last night.  Also Blast shield is classified as "equipment" that goes in you grenade slot and is unlocked at lvl 17

Ha, ha, so they are your run of the mill players, yeah I would imagine it could be tough (although can it be worse then playing with me?).

DC, thanks.  Have fun playing over the next few days.  Remember get all the bugs worked out of your game now since IW is supposedly resetting the leaderboards, stats and ranks come release day, you have a "play like crap for free" pass for the next few days.

Camo got the game through his brother. Other people either had the same deal, or they pirated the game online, burned it to a DVD and played on a modded xbox.

My brother didnt get me the game.  His district manager is too uptight to not notice a game getting out early.
