I had an awsome experience...and had a great group of people that I worked with and shared my experience. Great platoon, Great squad and a great group on NCO's and soldiers that I was with...lol...just like in BC2...if you don't have a good squad you'll probably regreat it...lol.
The Lord said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground... A fugitive and a vagabond you shall be on the earth."

For God and the soldier we adore, In time of danger, not before! The danger passed, and all things righted, God is forgotten and the soldier slighted." - Rudyard Kipling

If I had to do it over again...I would do it with pleasure and I would actually stay in.

I'm going to take this out of context.

I would. The experience isn't something that can be taught or conveyed through words or film but rather something that must be experienced first hand. I think most people who have been in the miltary and especially those of us who have seen war have a different perspective on the world and what is really important.

Camo you are so right with this. Until you experience it you don't know WTF you are talking about. Movies, books, and games can only portray what they think is going on or what happened. It is violence porn and meant to be entertaining. The physical & emotional aspects of what you experience and see are beyond describing. I can honestly tell you that with my 4th trip to the box coming up this fall I've seen a lot of shit. On each of my stints I wrote a journal on the daily events so that one day I can pass it on to my children and they would have an understanding what Daddy did for them and all of the people in this country.

Sometimes death is all you can see, it's all around you, it consumes you...so you have to look at it in the eyes and bare your teeth.
