I was playing some FFA tonight, just messing around, then I noticed that somebody was overtaking me for 1st place very quickly(I had been taking 1st play 2 out of 3 matches or so). So I checked the leaderboard and saw that there were boosters in my lobby. So, I called to the rest of the team to drop what they were doing and start booster hunting. At least one guy obliged and started helping me track them down. I find them on a secluded roof top (on Overgrown) and start trying to take them down. I get one and move on, thinking it was over. Then they switch places and suddenly an AC-130 is overhead. So I switch to cold blooded and run off to find them again. I find one of the boosters and take him out thinking it was over. No. A nuke goes off and kills me.
I guess I had killed the submissive booster partner both times without killing the guy going for the nuke.
Oh well, better luck next time. We get in to the next game (Storm or whatever it's called was the map) and I, as well as the player from before, start searching around. I then find the boosters, trying to hide in some bushes. So I push their shit in and wait for them to try again. Not too much later I check the leaderboard and find they're gone.
It was nice getting help from another player who was a complete stranger. We stayed in the same lobby for a few more games and it was cool. Then the last game of the night we were on wasteland so I decide to snipe/quick-scope. It was going pretty well, even had a conversation going on between a few of the players. What I thought was funny was one guy kept complimenting me on my shots when I killed him. I barely won the game, getting the last kill just one kill ahead of another player. I guy who was in the final kill cam again complimented me saying it was a good shot.
Why can't all lobbies be like this?
There may be hope

I remember when I used to nuke-booster hunt with TD during the day, we would have some good lobbies with some good people like that. It is a rare occasion, but when it happens, it's a nice feeling.

Yeah it would be nice if there were more lobbies like that. FFA is by far the best game mode on MW2 because unless you boost its really hard if not almost impossible to get a nuke. So, most people just play the game and don't try too much to camp for nukes. The obvious problem with FFA is the nuke boosters. I used to chase them from lobby to lobby ruining their day but then I realized that ruined my day. Before I quite MW2, I just made them leave and then stayed in the lobby that I just cleaned up it was much more fun that way. The objective games are 90% tube DC OMA try to get a nuke its absolutely sickening. If they created the killstreak free lobby I would go back and play again.

that shit rocked, people would see each other then team up, I had a train of like 6 people following me at one point. and as soon as we killed the boosters we all split and didnt kill eachother, until they left then it was game on.
