When I was a kid, and to this day, my dad had (has) a Daisy lever action, spring BB gun. I used to have so much fun shooting that BB gun. I live in NJ and I live in a pretty populated area of NJ. In fact, I live in one of the most populated areas of the country. So weapons were not a big part of my life growing up. I have had the pleasure of shooting some weapons, once at a farm and a couple of times at ranges. The regulations in NJ make it pretty tough to purchase a weapon, but make it nearly impossible to shoot it. So, like the gHey I am, I bought a couple of air guns to have some fun with. These:

Daisy Airguns- Model 880 Pellet Rifle Kit

Crosman Airguns- Model 3576W Magnum CO2 Air Pistol

Both were pretty cheap, the rifle was $59 and the pistol was $49. Both work great and are a lot of fun. I shoot them both indoors and out (two pumps on the rifle works great indoors). I use them in my garage. Its a lot of fun target shooting, knocking over cans and that shit.

Now to you military pukes, I know they are not real rifles and guns, but they are fun. If you enjoy aiming, pulling a trigger and seeing a result and suffer from the spacial confines I do, or monetary confines that don't allow you to purchase a real weapon, stuff like this is a great alternative.

Hey, we are all obviously grown up children because we all play video games. So embrace your inner child and have some fun.

I like you live in a heavily populated area and can only fire weapons at the range. The houses around here are not big enough to use even a BB gun, and people are so upthight about guns that they'll probably call the police on you if they see you with them. I would have to drive about an hour to find a place where I would be able to use the BB gun. So in my case I rather drive the hour to the range and use the real thing.

You, I think have a yard big enough and probably have more privacy than we do around here so enjoy.

I have about 3/4 of an acre (30,000 square feet +/-) with woods to the rear of my property line. So, I have some privacy and plenty of room to shoot these guns. But I find myself using them in the garage more often. I happened to have a pretty deep garage that is probably about half the distance of a normal garage deeper. so its pretty awesome for indoor shooting

I've got a little CO2 BB pistol that I can shoot around in my backyard and shit. And yes, they are fun.

Fortunately, I was having breakfast with my folks on Sunday and they told me they had made an offer on a place out in the country that is on 20 acres of land. This means that once they settle in there I'll be able to go have fun shooting whatever I can get my hands on. Also, I'll probably start trying my hand at boar and dear hunting not too long after. The boars in Texas are actually a problem so you can hunt them any time of the year. I'm pretty psyched about this.

20 acres and Texas gun laws...ah to dream. I think the law in Texas is, if you have 22 acres you can actually hunt Mexicans.
