I fancy my self a bit of a handyman. I can do most things with my hands except cars. I just don't know shit about cars. Anyway, when we bought the new house, one of my favorite features was this 8'x 9' alcove in the back of the garage just waiting to become a shop. So my dad and I designed, bout the materials and built it. Here are some pics. The last pic it a little dated. I have done quite a bit since then. I am working on one more thing then I will update with some more pictures. In the ceiling I installed a subzero, four foot, four bulb florescent fixture. Doctors could operate in there...lol

Looks good man. I have a small cove in my garage but it is too tiny for a bench. More like a small storage area. I'd like to buy or build a shed for the back yard this spring. Need the space.

I don't know what there is to paint turtle. Maybe over time I will do something. I do plan on putting something on the floor, like a sealer or those rubber mats that link together.

I would post a pic of mine but it's always full of what ever project is in the works and only gets a good cleaning about every 6 months.

Actually I tend to burn what scraps and shit I don't use. That pile is always getting saved. But for the work bench I can't stand it being cluttered. I did find enough shit around my place to build my first small chicken coop, but bought all new material for the second. As far as pack rat, that is my better half, for some reason she thinks shit has sentimental value. lol silly girls.

it's on the floor under the bench. It's not a table saw though its a single-bevel sliding compound miter saw.
