So, what this means is that I now have full control over everything and don't have to rely on support to fix problems because of limited access on my end. So when the server does go down, I get a text message, and then I simply take care of it on my end. This usually only entails rebooting the server to fix most problems.
What this means in the long run is less downtime and faster page loads. We can also do more with the site if we decide to expand. What I'm really looking forward to is integrating the Xbox LIVE API I've been working on into the site so that we can host our own leaderboard of sorts like we've had in the past, only with more information like TrueAchievements provides.
If anyone has any questions, just ask. Also, I will be starting to take donations again if you're interested. There won't be as much cost to running the site anymore like there have been in the past as I have purchased a lifetime license from the software developers of this forum. Only cost me about $300, but I figure I'd be spending more than that in the course of 2 years just in keeping up with the license renewals.
If you're willing to donate, let me know. I'll be setting up a PayPal page as well as premium subscriptions of some sort. I'll have to see how it plays out.
It's good to see that the forums are back in swing again, and I'd like to take this time to welcome our new members, especially Sneak! Damn that man is a posting maniac!
Carry on.
