I don't know why, but last night I was thinking about the Charged Plasma Pistol and Battle Rifle combo from Halo 2.

For anyone who doesn't know or remember this, it was when you would run around with a plasma pistol charged up. Whenever you saw an enemy you would fire the Plasma pistol, which also had some small amount of heat seeking on it, and it would take down their shields with one shot. While the plasma charge was in route you could switch to the BR and as soon as it hit and the enemy's shield was down you could do a single headshot and kill them.

This was a huge problem when it was first discovered; if you didn't see the person who was firing it would seem like you would just die instantly if they timed it right. The sniper rifles were similar in being able to do one shot headshot kills, but the BRs and Plasma Pistols were much more common. I'll admit that I started doing this, but after a short time I believe they fixed it. I could be wrong though, as this was about 7 years ago.

There was also a glitch I found in The Elder Scrolls IV, Oblivion. If you held three of the same kind of staves, you could have unlimited charges. The way a magic staff worked in Oblivion (and is the same way in Skyrim) was it had a limited number of uses for whatever magic it possessed. In my case I had three staves that would shoot a powerful lightning bolt. in my inventory these would stack and show a (3) next to it. So, once one staff had its charges depleted, I would switch to the next and it would be at full charge. This would continue indefinitely. I think what was basically happening was the game wasn't tracking the charge levels on the staves when they were stacked. So when I would go to pick one out it would always give me a staff at full charge. This basically gave you infinite charges for a very powerful weapon.

Outside of the Call of Duty games, has anyone else encountered stuff like this?
